The Pure Brew: The 3-Stage Stainless Pour-Over Guide
Share
Say goodbye to paper filters and unlock the fullest expression of your coffee beans. By using our precision stainless steel filter paired with the borosilicate glass server, you retain the rich, natural coffee oils that paper usually traps. This step-by-step guide will show you how to master the 3-stage pour to craft a bright, full-bodied Americano right at home.

⚖️ The Golden Parameters
- Coffee Beans: Light Roast (Maximizes floral and bright fruity notes)
- Grind Size: 3 (Optimal for stainless steel mesh flow rate)
- Brew Ratio: 20g ground coffee to 300ml purified water
- Water Temperature: 92°C / 197°F

⏱️ The Step-by-Step Ritual
Step 1. The Setup Add 20g of medium-fine (Size 3) coffee grounds into the stainless steel filter. Gently tap the sides of the glass server to level the coffee bed, preparing it for an even extraction.
Step 2. The Bloom (1st Pour) Begin pouring your 92°C water slowly in a circular motion, starting from the outer edge and spiraling inward. Pour just enough to saturate all the grounds, then stop. Wait for 30 seconds. You will see the coffee bed gently rise—this is the "bloom," releasing the fresh, aromatic gases of the light roast.
Step 3. The Deep Extraction (2nd Pour) Using the same technique, resume pouring from the outer edge to the inside in smooth circles. Increase the water flow slightly to agitate the grounds. Stop pouring when you've reached about half of your total water volume. Wait for another 30 seconds to let the water draw down evenly.
Step 4. The Final Balance (3rd Pour) Begin your final pour, maintaining the outside-in circular motion until you reach the total 300ml target. Wait a final 30 seconds. Let gravity do the work as the rich, amber coffee—complete with its natural oils—drips completely into the glass server below.
☕ Tasting Notes Remove the stainless filter and gently swirl the glass server to blend the heavy oils at the bottom with the bright flavors on top. Pour into your favorite mug and enjoy a perfectly balanced, cafe-quality Americano.
